Steve Garden engineered these recordings. Legend has it he was the first Beatle. I intend to keep recording with him until one of us dies. Thank you Steve. Linda Poulton, too, has been on each of these recordings. After a cappuccino she forgives my cajoling. Her harmonies lift all things. I am indebted to her. Darryl Neve plays bass on most of these tracks. It is always wonderful to work with Darryl. I would also like to thank musical friends, Steve Gerrish and Martha Louise. Special mention should be made of the accommodating role of my wife, Jenny and of our children, Rebeccah and Isaac. There was no conscious design in the writing of these songs. It was a surprise to me when people said, 'You write a lot of songs about martyrs'. It was only when collating this selection that I noticed that was true. But I am always the last one to know what's going on in my life. Everything is a mystery to me. In recent years, New Zealand had its first martyr, Heidi Moani. I hope to record 'Heidi's Song' on my next CD. I would like to thank the Baha'is around the world who have written, phoned, emailed, or otherwise contacted me. It has been a great source of encouragement and a blessing for which I am deeply grateful.
